Join us as an adult volunteer

Aged 18+ and would like to help? We have lots of uniformed and non-uniformed roles

We’d love your skills, experience, and expertise in our Group.

How can you help?

Like all Scout groups, we are a charity run by volunteers. We welcome new adult volunteers. We accept any amount of help you have to offer. There are many ways you can help support the Group. The most obvious is to join the leaders and the adventures. It doesn’t have to be in uniform, however. There are many other opportunities. Like joining the executive committee, baking cakes for camps or other events, helping with water activities, supporting the admin team, or simply helping with fundraising and completing the online gift aid form.

We have an Annual General Meeting, usually held in the spring or summer, and we often hold family group events. This is a great way to meet other families and leaders from different sections and be part of the Sea Scout family.

We are very proud of the 1st Southwater Sea Scouts, and we hope you’d like to join us in our adventures and make some wonderful memories. We have both uniformed and non-uniformed volunteer roles available.

Working with young people isn’t for everyone. That’s why being a trustee is great. You’re making a difference in so many lives. No need to go camping, help with activities, or run a session.
